Dar al-Kalima University

Dar al-Kalima University proudly celebrates the exceptional creativity and outstanding achievements of its Fashion Design students, whose graduation collections transformed Palestinian heritage, Canaanite roots, and human stories into contemporary fashion that seamlessly blends authenticity with innovation while reflecting profound artistic and intellectual vision.

Because true creativity knows no boundaries, these remarkable collections have gained international recognition and have been selected to participate in an upcoming international fashion show.

Amal Msayef | Here Was the Homeland, Here Were the Memories

Amal's collection draws inspiration from traditional Palestinian architecture, reinterpreting architectural elements such as arches, window ornaments, and historic tilework into contemporary fashion designs. The collection features a color palette inspired by Palestinian stone — beige, brown, and gold — complemented by embroidery and refined details that celebrate Palestinian identity through a modern and elegant aesthetic.

Munia Abu Saif | Argaman

Inspired by Canaanite civilization, Argaman highlights the historical and cultural continuity between the Canaanites and the Palestinian people through the use of shared animal symbolism and traditional Palestinian embroidery. The collection also incorporates natural dyes inspired by the renowned Tyrian purple pigment, historically extracted by the Canaanites along the coast of Acre.

Anwar Al-Ash | Merya'

Anwar's collection is inspired by the lives of Palestinian shepherds and the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls, presenting Palestine as a land rich in history and human stories. Through the integration of endangered Palestinian crafts, the collection embodies a contemporary interpretation of cultural heritage and collective memory.

Wafaa Issa | Memory of Stones

Memory of Stones reimagines the art of Palestinian mosaic through the language of contemporary fashion. Handwoven textiles, natural dyeing techniques, and intricate embroidery transform the rigid geometry of mosaics into fluid textile forms that express memory, identity, and cultural continuity.

Asmaa Al-Hour | Marsan: The Only Refuge

Asmaa's project is inspired by Palestine's maritime fishing heritage and the challenges faced by fishing communities. Transforming stories of the sea and resilience into contemporary fashion, the collection highlights traditional crafts such as sickle-making, the distinctive Gaza "Tasneeneh" embroidery technique, and natural dyeing, contributing to the preservation and transmission of these cultural traditions to future generations.

Batool Jbour | Musafira

Musafira documents the humanitarian reality of Masafer Yatta, shedding light on the ongoing demolitions, forced displacement, and repeated attacks endured by its residents. At the same time, the collection celebrates the resilience of the community and its unwavering commitment to preserving its land, identity, and heritage despite persistent hardship.
