Extracurricular Activities

A Balanced University Life

The Deanship of Student Affairs is keen to organize extracurricular activities on an ongoing basis in order to develop students' skills, enhance their active participation in university life, and create a balanced university environment that brings together the academic, social, cultural, and sporting dimensions. These activities vary in line with students' needs and interests each semester; the most notable include:

Weekly Student Activities

The Deanship dedicates a weekly student-activity hour that gives students the opportunity to take part in a variety of events — including training workshops, sports activities, awareness lectures, and cultural and recreational events — helping to strengthen student interaction and engagement in university life.

Artistic, Cultural & Sports Teams

The Deanship supports various student teams such as Dabke, theater, music, football, and basketball, in addition to the film club — aiming to refine students' artistic, cultural, and athletic talents, develop a spirit of teamwork and leadership, and foster critical and creative thinking through artistic activities, film screenings, and cultural discussions, as well as representing the university in various activities and occasions inside and outside the university.

Trips & Environmental Trails Club

The club aims to promote environmental awareness and a sense of belonging to place by organizing educational and recreational trips and trails that give students and graduates the opportunity to explore natural and historical sites and take part in interactive activities that strengthen their connection to community and environment.

Ambassadors

This area includes programs that prepare students to become ambassadors of the university and its representatives in the community, by developing leadership, communication, and community-work skills — in addition to the Labor-Market Ambassadors program, which helps students understand the requirements of the job market and prepare professionally at an early stage.

Student Competitions

The Deanship of Student Affairs encourages students to take part in local, national, and creative competitions across various artistic, cultural, and academic fields, helping to showcase their talents and strengthen their spirit of excellence and achievement.

Volunteering in University Events

The Deanship seeks to instill a culture of volunteer work by involving students in organizing the university's various events, conferences, and activities — strengthening their sense of social responsibility, initiative, and belonging.
