Interfaith Studies

An interdisciplinary program fostering dialogue, understanding, and coexistence across religious traditions in Palestinian society.

Program Overview

The Interfaith Studies program at Dar al-Kalima University is rooted in the university's founding mission of bridging communities through dialogue. Students engage deeply with the three Abrahamic traditions — Christianity, Islam, and Judaism — exploring their historical intersections, shared values, and points of difference within the Palestinian context.

Comparative Theology

In-depth study of sacred texts, theological concepts, and religious practices across the three Abrahamic faiths.

Dialogue Methodologies

Practical training in facilitation, mediation, and constructive dialogue techniques for interfaith and intercommunal settings.

Historical Coexistence

Exploration of historical periods and places where different faiths coexisted, cooperated, and shaped shared cultural heritage in Palestine.

Peacebuilding

Applied approaches to peacebuilding, conflict transformation, and community reconciliation drawing from religious and secular traditions.
