Master of Art in Arts Therapy

The MA in Arts Therapy program was designed in response to the needs of the Palestinian society, with the aim of preparing specialized academic and professional cadres who combine psychological sciences and the arts. It is intended for holders of a bachelor's degree in the social sciences, healthcare, education, and various arts disciplines who seek to acquire deep and comprehensive knowledge of how the arts can be used in psychological treatment.

The program offers a balanced combination of theoretical knowledge, applied skills, and practical therapeutic techniques, enabling graduates to pursue work in academia or in arts-based therapy and psychological counseling. The program also keeps pace with rapid developments in science and technology by integrating classical approaches in arts therapy with computerized and digital technologies, such as artificial intelligence and virtual reality.

With the presence of a Music Therapy and Music Psychology Laboratory, the program allows students to engage in experimental and research work and to produce scholarly papers based on empirical data. It also benefits from partnerships and collaborations with local institutions that provide opportunities for field training and skill development in real professional settings before graduation.
