Program Overview
The Master of Interior Design program offers an advanced academic pathway that combines theoretical depth with practical application, preparing a generation of designers capable of leading transformations in the built environment with a contemporary and sustainable vision.
The curriculum starts by building a solid knowledge base in design theories, criticism, and scientific research methodologies, progressively addressing contemporary issues and global trends while connecting them to the local Palestinian context. The program also focuses on integrating knowledge through specialized courses in environmental psychology, sustainability, digital design technologies, leading to advanced design studios and applied projects.
The program combines critical advanced design studios, real-world implementation projects, and flexible academic options (thesis, design project, or research seminars). Students gain unique regional competencies including: understanding psychological needs and environmental comfort in interior spaces, trauma-informed therapeutic design, smart interventions in heritage buildings, and project lifecycle management and entrepreneurship.
